Kidablez sells downloadable educational resources, including eBooks, worksheets and activity packs. This policy explains when refunds are available and how to request help with a purchase.
It applies to purchases made directly from Kidablez. Purchases through another marketplace must follow that platform’s refund process, subject to applicable consumer law.
1. Digital products
Products described as digital downloads are supplied electronically. No printed book or physical item will be delivered.
Before purchasing, please check the product description, previews, language, suggested age or grade, file format and any stated software or printing requirements. Contact Kidablez if you need help deciding whether a resource meets your needs.
2. Change of mind and incorrect purchases
Except where the law gives you a cancellation or refund right, Kidablez does not offer change-of-mind refunds once a digital resource has been downloaded or accessed. This includes selecting the wrong resource or deciding that you no longer need it, where it was accurately described.
If you purchased the wrong resource and have not downloaded or accessed it, contact Kidablez within seven calendar days of purchase. An exchange or refund may be offered as a goodwill arrangement.
This discretionary arrangement does not restrict statutory rights.
3. Cooling-off rights
Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, you may cancel without giving a reason or paying a penalty within seven days after receiving the goods. A full refund will be made within 30 days of cancellation.
The Act excludes certain transactions, including sales of books. An exclusion will be applied only where legally applicable to the particular purchase. Downloading a file does not, by itself, mean that you have waived all consumer rights.
Any other applicable statutory cancellation rights remain available.
4. Faulty files and products that do not match their description
Contact Kidablez if a file is corrupted, incomplete, incorrect or materially different from its description, or cannot be opened using the stated compatible software.
Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, qualifying defects reported within six months of delivery carry the remedies provided by sections 55 and 56, including your choice of repair, replacement or refund. You do not have to accept troubleshooting or replacement instead of a refund where the law gives you that choice.
Other applicable rights and remedies remain unaffected.
5. Download and access problems
If your download link is missing, expired or not working, contact Kidablez with your order details. Kidablez will investigate and, where appropriate, resend the link or provide another way to obtain the purchased file.
If Kidablez cannot supply the resource as agreed, you will receive a refund for the undelivered product.
6. Duplicate charges and orders
If you were charged more than once for the same transaction, Kidablez will verify the payments and refund the excess charge.
For an accidental duplicate order, contact Kidablez promptly. Any goodwill refund will take account of whether an additional licence was supplied or used. Statutory refund rights are unaffected.
7. Requesting a refund
Email the address above with:
- Your order number or other proof of purchase.
- The email address used for the purchase.
- The product name.
- A brief explanation of the problem, unless you are exercising a cancellation right that requires no reason.
- A screenshot or error message, if relevant and available.
Please report problems as soon as reasonably possible. This request does not shorten any legal claim period.
Kidablez aims to respond within three business days, excluding South African public holidays. Reasonable information may be requested to verify the transaction or understand a fault. Never send your card PIN, password, CVV or one-time password.
8. Refund payments
Refunds will normally go back through the original payment method. If that is not possible, a suitable alternative will be agreed after reasonable verification.
Kidablez aims to process approved refunds within ten business days, always subject to any earlier legal deadline. Bank processing times may vary. This target does not extend a statutory refund deadline.
No administration or payment-processing fee will be deducted from a refund due under this policy. Store credit will not replace a refund unless you agree.
9. Use of refunded products
Once a purchase is cancelled and refunded, the licence for that purchase ends. Stop using or sharing the resource and delete digital copies and destroy printed copies covered by that refunded licence.
You may retain evidence reasonably needed for a complaint or legal obligation. A separate valid licence for the same resource remains unaffected.
10. Unresolved complaints and legal rights
If you disagree with a decision, reply with your concerns and request a review. Kidablez will provide reasons for its response.
You may also approach the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, where it has jurisdiction, the National Consumer Commission, or another competent dispute-resolution body.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Later policy changes will not retrospectively reduce your rights for an existing purchase.
